ree

At HerMove, we are always excited to partner with local clubs that provide exceptional opportunities for women and girls to build strength, confidence, and community. That's why we are thrilled to introduce you to Keisen Judo, a non-profit, volunteer-run club offering a warm and welcoming space to learn judo in East Grinstead.

A Sport for Everyone

Keisen Judo firmly believes that judo is for everyone. They are dedicated to making the sport accessible to all, fostering a friendly training environment and a true family atmosphere. With a rapidly growing community of members ranging in age from just 3 to over 60, it's a place where everyone can find their footing.

Classes are held on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings throughout the year, making it easy to fit into a busy schedule.

More Than a Sport: Building Life Skills

As Head Coach James Draper explains, the benefits of judo go far beyond the mat.

"Judo provides confidence, fitness, resilience, friendship, respect and courage," he says. "We believe that many other girls could greatly benefit from participating in our sport."

The club's female athletes are among its most successful and motivated members, proving that the skills learned in judo are powerful tools for personal growth.

A Hub of Excellence and Inspiration

Keisen Judo is not just a recreational club; it's a hub of high-level training and inspiration. The club regularly welcomes guest coaches, which have included female Commonwealth Games and Olympic athletes, providing incredible role models for their members.

This commitment to excellence has nurtured several high-level athletes, including County champions, GB team members, and International Medalists, showcasing the incredible potential that can be unlocked within their supportive environment.
