What an inspiring day for girls' sport! HerMove was delighted to support the EGRFC Girls RugbyFest on Sunday, October 5th, 2025, a fantastic celebration of rugby and community spirit. This inclusive event offered girls aged 5–16 the chance to experience the fun, teamwork, and confidence that rugby can ignite, and included an unforgettable appearance by Red Rose Jess Breach!
The morning was truly inspiring, demonstrating perfectly that movement has the power to change lives, not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too.
The Confidence Connection
Our mission is to inspire girls and women to move in ways that make them feel strong, confident, and connected. We know that women and girls who play sports feel more confident. The playing field is a training ground for life, teaching us to push past limits, celebrate small wins, and learn from mistakes. That confidence builds over time, translating into our schools, friendships, and future careers.
We recognise, however, that 52% of girls say a lack of confidence holds them back from sport. This powerful statistic reminds us of the challenges we face. That’s why we were proud to partner with East Grinstead RFC, a club that’s helping girls discover their strength and teamwork through rugby. We want to amplify girls’ voices in sport and encourage more young women to step into leadership roles, both on and off the pitch.
Join the Future: Become a HerMove Ambassador!
Inspired by the energy and passion at the RugbyFest? We are now inviting girls from EGRFC to become HerMove Ambassadors, positive role models who champion girls’ participation in sport and well-being in our community.
As an ambassador, you’ll:
Represent HerMove and your rugby club in our growing community.
Share your experiences to inspire other girls to get active.
Have the chance to take part in exclusive workshops, events, and social campaigns.
Develop leadership, communication, and teamwork skills that go far beyond the pitch.
