You Are Enough: Moving Your Body Without Punishment

For years, my relationship with fitness was tied to guilt, pressure, and perfection. I fell in and out of love with movement, often feeling lonely and disconnected. But over time, I found something that changed everything: Pilates.
Pilates taught me to slow down, listen to my body, and move from a place of strength-not shame. It’s now at the heart of everything I do. I teach Pilates locally in East Grinstead and Forest Row and work as a Personal Trainer in a local gym. I also share free Pilates videos on YouTube via ‘Pilates with Jazz’ so that anyone, anywhere, can join in and feel supported.
One of the most common things I see in the women I work with is the pressure to earn rest, to shrink themselves, or to exercise as punishment. I’ve been there too-and that’s exactly why I’m so passionate about changing the narrative.
My focus now is on helping women feel empowered, strong, and connected to their bodies. Movement should be a celebration, not a punishment. Whether it’s a gentle Pilates flow, a sweaty fitness session, or a mindful walk in nature-there’s so much value in simply showing up.
I always say: you are enough, just as you are.
My journey is still ongoing, but movement and community have given me the confidence to be myself again. If this resonates with you, you’re not alone-and you’re always welcome in my classes, just as you are :) Jazz x
